Bill Thomas

Mr. William M. (“Bill”) Thomas is the Corporate President and majority shareholder of TIS Insurance Services, Inc. a Knoxville, Tennessee-based insurance agency.  Mr. Thomas graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1964 with a degree in Banking and Insurance.  He immediately joined TIS, a family business with just 3 employees.  Since that time, Mr. Thomas has served as a multi-line agent working with businesses and individuals to provide all lines of insurance and risk management services.  Today, TIS is included among the largest insurance agencies in the United States with over 125 employees serving clients in 48 states.

Mr. Thomas is also associated as an investor in multiple real estate entities with diversified portfolios.  In addition, he serves as the Chief Manager of T&C Warehouses, LLC, T Warehouses, LLC and C Warehouses, LLC which collectively own various land, office, and warehouse properties.

Mr. Thomas was honored in 2006 as a Business Hall of Fame Laureate; Junior Achievement of East Tennessee.
