Raja Jubran
Mr. Jubran is the CEO and 50% stockholder of
Denark Construction, Inc.
, a mid-size regional general contractor and construction manager that has completed over $600 million of commercial and residential projects. He has also been an investor in development companies that have completed over $50 million of developments in the past 10 years.
Mr. Jubran has led the management team of Denark Construction, Inc. since its incorporation in 1985. Overall direction of the firm, pursuit of its vision, and adherence to its mission are top priorities for Mr. Jubran, although, as CEO, he regularly reviews the activities and decisions of all divisions. He maintains a broad overview of the operation of the firm and, along with the rest of the Denark Construction, Inc. team, assures each project's ultimate success. Mr. Jubran has managed teams constructing public facilities, high-tech industrial plants, convention centers, medical offices, warehouse and distribution centers, shopping centers, multi-family, and other commercial projects. Mr. Jubran currently serves on The Clayton Bancorp Board of Directors, is Chairman of the Loan Committee, and is a member of the Board Executive & Trust Committees. He is a Past Member of the BB&T Regional Board of Advisors.
Active involvement in improving the community is an important objective for him as well. He is a member of the Leadership Knoxville Class of 1997 and also serves on the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra Board of Directors, the Board of Directors of Boys & Girls Club of Knoxville, the Maryville College National Advisory Council, and is current Chairman of the Leadership Knoxville Board of Directors. He is a Past Chairman of the Knoxville Area Chamber Partnership Board and Past Chairman of the Investors Council of the Jobs Now! Campaign for Economic Development. He is also an Associate Member of Nucleus Knoxville, as well as a member of The Ramallah Club of Knoxville, The Arab American Club of Knoxville, and St. George Greek Orthodox Church. Mr. Jubran is a Past Chairman of Knoxville’s Community Development Corporation (KCDC), Past Board President of the Knoxville Opera Company, and was previously active on the Boards of the YMCA, the United Way of Greater Knoxville, the UT College of Engineering Board of Advisors, the Knoxville Museum of Art, and the Baptist Health System Foundation.
